Yossi Markovitz
As a principal partner at OnlySimchas.com since its inception, Yossi’s business and marketing direction has facilitated the site's growth and popularity. On February 14th, 2000 his own engagement pictures became the first official Simcha gallery posted on the new and novel OnlySimchas website. Since then, Yossi’s proudest achievements have been creating a brand caters to the widest spectrum of Jewish individuals and communities aound the world.
Along with his responsibilities at OnlySimchas.com, Yossi works in finance and marketing. He earned his BA from Yeshiva University and his MBA from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.
Born and bred in Queens, NY, Yossi married Rachel Bacall and moved to Teaneck, where he became an honorary member of the extended Katz Mafia. Yossi now lives in Bergenfield, NJ, with his wife and three children.
Doron Katz
Doron was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the age of two he immigrated with his parents to the United States eventually settling in Teaneck, New Jersey. After High School, he spent a year in Mevaseret Tzion in Israel, before moving on to the University of Pennsylvania and Yeshiva University. Next he went on to spend four years at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and today is a practicing medical doctor with offices in NY and NJ. Doron met Micol of Lawrence, NY, his wife of ten years, after being set up on a blind date by Nava Bak, a good friend of Micol's. Together they have three children.
Clearly the momentum behind the growth of both OnlySimchas & Futuresimchas, Doron has energy to spare even after his 'round-the-clock rotations.' Ever inspired and full of creativity, Doron and Micol work tirelessly to fulfill their dream of building a home in Jerusalem, Israel. Together, Doron and Micol have successfully arranged four shidduchim, and are always on the prowl for more.
Dov Katz
Dov is most responsible for OnlySimchas.com's core products, the suite of web applications and online photo-sharing network, which he architected a decade ago while attending Columbia University. His technical genius and quality control are what gives users a gratifying real-time experience. It is his remarkable work ethic and prowess, which was recognized by Morgan Stanley when they hired him immediately following his graduation in 2001.
Dov has an MBA from Stern School of Business at NYU.
Originally from Memphis, TN, Katz married Shira Katz, of Teaneck (Doron's sister) and they settled in Bergenfield, NJ. They have been blessed with twin sons Yoni and Ilan as well as a daughter, Sarena.
OnlySimchas.com fulfills a dream for Dov, of bringing joy to the Jewish people. He and Shira are very excited about FutureSimchas.com and the potential of uniting many singles throughout the globe. Shira is an experienced matchmaker, once successfully setting up two friends based on a wacky dream - and it worked!
